I have to do at least one serious review for this company with my 15 years of experience as a professional seamstress in the outdoor industry.
These pants are incredibly well-made and the fabric and materials DHaRCO uses are of some serious quality. Yes, they are expensive, but the price is fair and I'll tell you why. You have to consider the whole cost of production. Every pair of pants costs them maybe 2-3 yards of fabric and they have to pay for all of that, even the parts they can't use after your pants are cut out. There is even more of this to consider (as well as sewing time) when you have extra panels on your pants to add to the flexibility and stretch. You always pay for that loss when you buy clothes, it's just more noticeable when your company is choosing to provide you with the good stuff. Then there's the needlework. You can tell by the stitch quality that they are using good machines and yes that does make a significant difference in the longevity and water-resistance of your product. You can tell by the aligned seams and perfectly symmetrical fit that the employees are skilled and are taking their time to ensure the product is worth the price. I've inspected all of my pants and several of my friends’ pants (off their bodies of course) for these key quality points and I am impressed every single time.
None of that even needs to be explained, though, because what you get out of it still matches the price tag. The pants are so freaking comfortable and flexible. You can wear them anywhere, before and after your ride, or like me, wear them even on days you aren't riding because they are seriously the best pants in the world. I'm replacing my hiking clothes with them, too. They are great for all weather, mud and dirt usually brush right off when dried. Anything left comes out in a normal wash cycle, even on the white pants. The fabric is very breathable. I have been wearing the DHaRCO long sleeve tops and pants into early summer to help protect my skin from the sun and I have yet to feel hot in anything, even though I was warm in the same clothes during the colder months. These pants will last season after season and you'll save money down not replacing them.
Just buy the freaking pants, guys. You won't regret it!
Womens Gravity Pants | Forest
loved the color and fabric but sadly not cut for curvy women
These pants are the bees knees. I now understand what all the hype was about. First off, if anything, support Dharco for their amazing customer service. Seriously, best I’ve ever experienced. Now to the pants: they look great, feel great, and are super functional! For size reference, I am 5’3 and 120lbs. I had a couple of kids so my midsection is “full”. The size medium fits perfectly with plenty of room for padded shorts underneath. The waist is roomy, but that’s okay because I can always cinch it tighter with the adjustable waistband. The small would have fit perfectly in the waist but no where else.
Quality material, excellent fit! I went a size smaller than normal based off their size chart and they fit perfectly (I usually wear a medium or size 4/6 in US clothing but got a small for these pants) The only bummer is that one waist button was broken on arrival but it shouldn't be too hard to fix with the local seamstress.
