In addition to their fun patterns, I love the level of cushioning in this chamoix - great for up to 5 hours of riding. The material is relatively thick, so not see through like some other shammys, but still breatheable. The waist band is really comfortable and the cuffs around the thighs are rubberized to prevent them from riding up. These party pants also have a side pocket, which is useful when you take off your muddy mtb shorts and are walking about in just the party pants. I have three pairs of these and wish there were more patterns!
