Awesome fit, great quality, I now have 3 pairs of these pants and love them.

The proportions are way off for tall people, and it isn't solved with the Cathro extensions. I'm usually a 32W, 34 inseam so I purchased the L. Anything but the thinnest kneepads will NOT fit in here. I bought these for DH racing, so that's not ideal.

The issue is that my extra leg length is not from my knee downward, so its a little absurd to make extensions do just that. On the size L, the bottom of the knee pad outline is around the top of my knee cap. (My legs are longer from hip to knee too!)

The quality is great, just unfortunately not for tall people without a longer inseam size or without extremely long shin bones

Well since it is such a short section lets start with the bad
Im normally a 2XL in both pants and tops - and in this I am a 3XL. I bought them thinking i could just tighten the sides. I dont need to - I am almost too big, and while I admit im not small I am definitely not the biggest person on the trails, so perhaps there is a need for a 4XL too.

As an aside - it feels weird having a pocket on the middle of the thigh on one side but on my hip on the other (and could we make them just a cm longer so i can zip my phone in to them?)

Now to the good. These are nice and light but well constructed. While I have not yet crashed i feel secure in the fact that they will offer the required protection for small crashes and scrapes. They are definitely keeping my legs warmer now we are getting in to colder weather. They fit over my knee pads and shin guards though a little tight (probably related to sizing above). I do a heap of riding where i can fall down the side of mountains so being highly visible with this pattern is fantastic, plus - if we are being honest, it really just looks fantastic. I also do road riding for general fitness when i dont have the time to hit the trails, and the bright colours really help me stand out in the traffic. I like the fact that it has the side adjusters - not that I need them - to perfect the fit as well.

As far as the ordering and delivery goes - that was ridiculously smooth. I ordered them at 8pmish on a friday night NZ Time - so I expect the warehouse guys were not working, and on tuesday it was in my hot little hands

Over all these are fantastic, well made, high quality kit. I can't recommend them enough and have already told all my friends about them even though i have only used them half a dozen times so far.

My only regret - I did not buy two pairs. I will be buying some more in the future for both myself and my newly mountain bike loving partner.
